GRACE

I dreamed a dream and in my dream
I stood alone before a Man of grand esteem
Something’s wrong there‘s blood on my hand
It runs down each arm and pools in the sand
I thought we were friends but it seems not the case
Murderer, assassin there’s guilt on my face
A hand at the hammer and fingers to the spike
Truth be known, Satan and I are so much alike
Judas and Pilate just accomplices you see
The Man of grace was butchered by me
Forgive, forgive, Oh Jesus forgive
Guilty as charged in hell I shall live
There’s nowhere to run and no place to hide
I stand afore court my fate to decide
It is quiet now soon justice will fall
But across and through time comes a great call
It is finished, sin subdued so you could be whole
And grace like a torrent pours over my soul
I’m drenched in His mercy cleansed by His grace
Faultless I stand with radiant face
Undeserved favor, forgiveness my beauty
Faithful to Christ forever my duty
